Who was Muhammad Ali?


               Muhammad Ali was a boxer, philanthropist, and social activist who is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century. Ali won an Olympic gold medal in 1960 and became the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion in 1964.
 
              Following his suspension for refusing military service, Ali won two more heavyweight titles in the 1970s, winning along the way against Joe Frazier and George Foreman. Diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 1984, Ali devoted most of his time to philanthropy and was awarded the Presidential Medal in 2005.

Early life

          Ali was born on January 17, 1942, in Louisville, Kentucky. His birth name was Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr.

         At a young age, young Clay showed that he was not afraid of any turn inside or outside the ring. Growing up in a different South, he instinctively experienced racial prejudice and discrimination.

        At the age of 12, Clay discovered his talent for boxing through a strange turn of fate. After his bike was stolen, Clay told Martin, a police officer, that he wanted to kill the thief.

            • Clay began working with Martin to learn how to spring and soon began his boxing career. In his first amateur encounter in 1954, he won the fight by a split decision.

             • Clay Light won the 1956 Golden Gloves Tournament for heavyweight class beginners. Three years later, he won the National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions as well as the National Amateur Athletic Union National title for the light heavyweight division.

 

   19 In 1960, Clay moved to the U.S. Placed on the Olympic boxing team, and traveled to Rome, Italy for competition. After winning her first three rounds, Clay won the light heavyweight Olympic Olympic gold medal, defeating Zbigniew Pitrzowski of Poland.


             Olympic After his Olympic victory, Clay was introduced as an American hero. He soon became professional with the support of the Louisville Sponsorship Group and overwhelmed all opponents in the ring.

 

Trouble years

              19 Clay joined the Black Muslim group Nation Islam f Islam in 1964. First, he identified himself as Assass X before compromising on the name Muhammad Ali. Boxer eventually converted to Islam in the 1970s.

           • Ali started a different kind of fight with clear views against the Vietnam War. Surrounded by the army in April 1967, he refused to serve on the grounds that he was a Muslim minister practicing with religious beliefs that prevented him from fighting.

            He was arrested for a serious crime and almost immediately stripped of his world title and bachelor's license.

            Justice U.S. The Justice Department took legal action against Ali and honestly refused to claim the offending position. He was convicted of violating selective service laws and sentenced to five years in prison in June 1967, but was released on appeal.

               Unable to compete professionally during the meantime, Ali missed more than three major years of his athletic career. Ali returned to the ring in 1970 with a win over Jerry Query and won the U.S. Open. The Supreme Court finally found him guilty in June 1971.

             • Ali was married four times and had nine children, including two children whom he married out of wedlock.

             1984 In 1984, Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, a degenerative neurological condition. In retirement, Ali devoted most of his time to philanthropy. Ali traveled to numerous countries, including Mexico and Morocco, to help those in need. In 1998, he was selected as the United Nations Messenger for Peace.

             Astha died on June 3, 2016, in Phoenix, Arizona, after being hospitalized for a report of a respiratory problem. He was 74 years old.

            Boxing The legend of boxing suffers from Parkinson's disease and spinal stenosis. In early 2015, the athlete was battling pneumonia and was hospitalized for a serious urinary tract infection.

           Ali had a career record of 56 wins, five defeats and 37 knockouts before retiring from boxing in 1981 at the age of 56.
